PS Vue Gets 200 More Local Broadcast Stations

PlayStation Vue is getting a bunch of new channels. Sony this week added 200 local stations to the alive TV streaming service.

"With this expansion, PS Vue now offers more than 450 local ABC, CBS, Trick, and NBC stations, in cities all over the US – from Buffalo, Northward.Y., to Honolulu, Hawaii," PS Vue Vice President Dwayne Benefield wrote in a Tuesday blog postal service. "Every bit we gear up for football game season and Fall TV premieres, now over 97 percentage of the US population has access to at least i major broadcast station from ABC, CBS, Play a trick on, and/ or NBC."

The expansion comes after Sony late last month raised the price of all multi-channel PS Vue plans by $5. That brought the base "Access" programme to $45 a month.

Meanwhile, Sony also this week launched a PS Vue ESPN College Actress packet of viii channels offering "the land'south best regional college games and matchups from top conferences, including football, basketball, and baseball throughout the higher sports season." That package is now available to all Core, Elite, and Ultra subscribers.

PS Vue is available on streaming devices such as PS4, Apple Television, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku equally well as PC, Mac, and mobile devices. The service earned an "excellent" rating in PCMag's review; we praised its "wide channel selection," "simple setup," and "unlimited 28-day, cloud-based DVR."
