Maui Jim have many lens materials. Each one is slightly different, providing different levels of shatter resistance and weight for example. One thing they all have in common is a high level of protection and an excellent optical experience. When looking for your next pair of sunglasses, it can be confusing when brands name different features unique names. For example Maui Jim have four main lenses with unique names. These are the MauiPure, MauiBrilliant, SuperThin Glass (ST) and Maui Evolution. We explain a little more about what each lens offers to try and help when looking for your next pair.

SuperThin lenses provide the crispest optic available. It offers the best protection against scratches out of all the Maui Jim lenses. Comparing them to a glass lens, the SuperThin lens is 32% thinner and lighter than ordinary glass.

Maui Evolution

Maui Evolution is the product of combining Maui Jim's SuperThin and Polycarbonate lenses. This hybrid only features in a few Maui Jim products. It is lightweight and impact resistant. This makes the Maui Evolution a bit of a middle of the class all rounder.
